A Zoid is a mechanical combat unit. They are from a TV show. These Zoids are natural fighters on their planet, called Zi. There are lots of Zoids. Some people use them just for fun, but the military uses them in the war. The Zoids are quite big, about as big as a small building. They each have different kinds of controls. They all have pedals to steer. The Zoids are controlled by pilots. In our world, the toys are about as big as a medium sized game console.
There are three types: regular, organoids, and ultimate x.
Zoids are all animal shaped with each having their own personalities. There are many types of Zoids. Some of them are T-rex, Dinosaur, Lion, Sea Scorpion, and Triceratops. They are extremely powerful. The fastest zoid is the Storm Sworder, even though there's a zoid called Lightning Saix. The biggest zoid is the Ultrasaurus.

An Organoid is a mini Zoid that has the ability to fuse with other Zoids, making them more powerful, come back to life, or evolve. Another ability is getting more speed, that is only activated when the pilot needs much more power, and their Zoid isn't responding as fast as they want it to. When that is happening, the Organoid gets a power, the power to make any Zoid it fuses with go to it's "full potential", which means that it can now move much faster, responds to the pilot faster, and gets much more powerful.
An ultimate x is like an organoid, except it is built into the Zoid. Once an attack has been used on one, it won't work again. This is because the organoid system in the Zoid memorizes each move used against it. This fabulous black box is found only in the future storyline, which they aren't showing anymore for some strange reason.
There are two kinds of Zoids shows. One of them is called Chaotic Century. The other is in the future, with a giant satellite.
The Zoids have been used in the war among the people of planet Zi. The main character, Van, finds an organoid and a girl in a capsule in some ruins. The girl has no memory. When she touched an ancient stone pillar, she said that on it were the words "Zoid Eve". So they set of on a mission to find Zoid Eve.
Another part is when the Republicans win the war. Someone named Lord Prosan resurrects the Death Sauer, an ancient legend that wiped out the ancient Zoidian race. After they defeat it, the show goes to 3 years in their future, and Van joins the Guardian Force, a task force with the express purpose of maintaining the peace. They eventually fight the Geno Breaker and soon the Death Stinger. Once they fight the Death Stinger, they realize that they need the Ultrasaurus and the gravity cannon to defeat it.
In this series, Zoids are used in one huge competition. The main character, Bit Cloud, joins the Blitz team and pilots the Liger Zero. They do lots of Zoid battles with judge satellites, controlled by the Zoid Battle Commision. The teams try to get the the Royal Cup, which is held every 4 years. Only class "A" teams can compete. Their rival is the Vega team, who has a Berserk Fury. The Vega team almost wins the royal cup. It's the Fury's stubborn attitude that made him lose. If the Fury wanted to find out who is the strongest ultimate x, he could have just waited until after the royal cup.

They are 5" tall, 6" long, and 3" wide on average. Most of the models are build-it-yourself ones. The build-it-yourself ones are ultra-fun! There are also some that come ready built. So the build-it-yourself ones are probably the best kinds. Although all of them move, some of them are motorized, but they cost more than the ones that are wind ups. They are plastic models that have interchangeable parts. These toys cost anywhere from $8.00-$80.00.
Almost every Zoid can do it. Some of the customize parts are a particle cannon unit (NOT charged particle cannon), flexible booster unit, wild weasel unit, and many more! They are for the toys as well as for the show.
